Thus, a tour package with 2* accommodation upon the ‘fortuna’ system cost $400 per week that is cheaper than a flight price. However, travel market experts interviewed by a BANKO correspondent point out that this situation is typical for the low season, special offers were predictable and even planned. Thus, Marina Tsarkova, General Director of Tourbazar, commented as follows: ‘I do not see any alert tendencies; November and December are difficult for sales of exotic destinations. Goa is a stable market due its limited hotel base. Ups and downs are not typical for the destination’. At the moment the demand is provided by those who can afford ‘quick and cheap’ holiday and such tourists usually choose 2-3* hotels’. Meanwhile, tour operators forecast the situation will continue until the middle of December. ‘We do not plan to terminate our charter program launched in October. However three next flights will not be operated at their full capacity’, said Oksana Braun.
