Kazan Is In Love With Egypt

At the moment the region is experiencing seasonal sales slowdown typical for the end of November and the beginning of December. Nevertheless, the most popular mass market product – tours to Egypt, is in demand even in low season, travel market experts say. ‘There are convenient flights from Kazan. Our clients can also fly from Moscow, but it will take more time’, commented Elena Kascheeva, Director of Barbados Travel Company. Furthermore, Ludmila Zinger, Director of Efir-Voyage, observed that ‘tourists are becoming more advanced in terms of traveling and they understand that it is more convenient to fly from Kazan than from Moscow, therefore they are ready to pay more for a direct flight’. The difference in price between a tour package with a flight from Kazan and the one with a flight from Moscow is $70–100. We remind you that a flight from Kazan to Egypt is consolidated by Pegas Touristik that has increased the supply volume by a new charter program to Hurgada. Tatarstan Airlines TU -154 fly to Hurgada and Sharm-el-Sheikh once in ten days. Meanwhile, charters from Kazan are also operated on the alternative route – the UAE, where the seasonal sales slowdown is more obvious at present. That might be explained by the target group of tours to the Emirates, they are aimed at wealthier clients than tours to Egypt. Marcel Musin, Director of Intourcenter, pointed out that 130 of 160 seats are bought (flights to the Emirates are operated by Tatarstan Airlines TU-154 every ten days). He also added: ‘probably in December we will reduce prices, but all New Year tours are sold’. According to him, the minimum price for a tour package to the UAE with a flight from Kazan is $650.
