Vietnam Airlines Is Waiting For A Spare Part

[IMG=20952-6788]On September 11th Vietnam Airlines flight from Moscow to Ho Chi Minh was delayed for a record time for the season – 2 days. We remind you that eight and ten – hour delays have become a norm. In July frequent delays provoked negative reaction of the Federal Agency of Air Transport that published a rating of the most unpunctual airlines. Meanwhile, Leonid Rumyantsev from Kometa Тours which clients were supposed to fly by Vietnam Airlines to Ho Chi Minh on September 11th, the delay puzzled the travel company: for the whole co-operation period such delays did not take place. According to Rumyantsev, the passengers were on board for two hours waiting for the take off, and then they were returned to the Domodedovo Airport. In the evening tourists from Moscow were offered to go back home, while tourists from regions were accommodated in the hotel. Representatives of Vietnam Airlines explained the delay by a technical fault and lack of an alternative aircraft. It is suggested that the flight will be operated on September 13th, after 3.45 p.m. ‘At the moment we are waiting for a delivery of a spare part in order to eliminate the technical fault of the aircraft’, commented Natalia Afanasieva from Vietnam Airlines. ‘We will have to compensate for losses at our own expense. Moreover, the delay might lead to a missed connecting flight in the country. It is not excluded will demand cost recovery from the airline’, emphasized Leonid Rumyantsev.
