TEZ TOUR also commented on the demand for Cuba: ‘considering current sales depth we can forecast shortage of air traffic volume to the destination. Therefore, at the moment we are negotiating a launch of a charter program to Varadero’, said Roman Ribakov, PR Director of TEZ TOUR. Meanwhile, in summer two scheduled flights by Aeroflot are operated to Havana with a third flight and a charter to Varadero being added to them in high season (Transaero, Boeing -767). Furthermore, tour operators point out that at the beginning of 2006 the existing air traffic volume resulted into excess of flights to Cuba. Prices for plane tickets then reduced by minimum 100$. What will a new charter to Cuba bring? ‘It is early to make forecasts now. Sales slowdown after a New Year period is typical for all destinations. Good business planning will help to compensate drop in demand by sales profit in a New Year period’, believes Ribakov.
