[IMG=20433-6172]Tourists leaving for Antalya had to spend the whole Wednesday, July 12th, in Domodedovo Airport owing the delayed flight. A flight by Boeing – 747 was scheduled for 11. 50 a.m. but it was delayed every two hours. As a result the aircraft left the Airport for Antalya only at 11 p.m. Sergey Bikhal, PR Director of Transaero, explained: ‘the delay was provoked by the necessity to find a reserved aircraft. In the morning on July 12th there was a problem within the alerting system of Boeing – 747 flying to Croatia. Therefore, we had to use a reserved aircraft that resulted into a longer delay of the flight to Antalya which also needed a reserved aircraft’. The situation generated the great interest in the travel market; in particular it was discussed in the forum of the professional travel portal www.tourdom.ru. ‘The Airline Company announced that the flight was delayed owing problems with the landing gear, but it is not right when the technical problem is solved for 12 hours. They should have done everything more urgently’, said Dmitry Mazurov, General Director of Sunrise. Furthermore, Alexander Kobzev, the Head of the Charter Department of Polar, said: ‘tourists arrived to Turkey in a bad mood. However, such a situation is not typical for Transaero. It is the first case for three months we have been working with them’. In general travel market players emphasize good reputation of Transaero in the market and believe such force-majeure will not repeat. It is necessary to mention that all the passengers of the delayed flight received meals from Transaero.
