Luktour Tourists Are Returning Home

[IMG=20160-5940]The outcome of the June scandal around Luktour seems to be seen soon. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, from June 16th to June 20th 200 Russian tourists left Turkey with the support of the Russian Consulate in Antalya and the Airline Company Atlant-Soyuz. It is important to point out that it appeared Luktour provided all its clients with return tickets. Thus, Igor Kisilev, PR Director of the company said to a BANKO correspondent: ‘none of them fly back at their own expenses. All return tickets were booked within tours tourists bought with us’. Sergey Koritsky, Vice Consul, confirmed this information: ‘all Luktour tourists have return tickets. However, many of them are open-date-tickets; therefore, our task is to control the emplanement of tourists. Furthermore, Sergey Koritsky emphasized consulate agents control transfers for Luktour tourists and to inform them in advance about them as many tourists were accommodated not in the hotels they had booked. Meanwhile, all transfers are organized on the expenses of the transport company upon its contract with Luktour partner in Turkey – Luk Tur Med. Igor Kisilev in the interview to a BANKO correspondent also commented on the possibily of claims from the tourists: ‘by now we have not received claims from our tourists. We are ready to bear responsibility and to pay compensations’.
