[IMG=20098-5857]More than 100 Russian tourists in Antalya have made a complaint against Luktour, said
Sergey Koritsky, Vice Consul of the Russian Consulate in Antalya. According to unaccredited sources in Turkey, the total number of Luktour tourists involved in the incident in Antalya is 450, with the number increasing.
The scenario followed by Luktour is similar the crash of Az Tour in 2005: both companies did not provide their tourists with return tickets.
Thus, Sergey Koritsky, emphasized: ‘the majority of Luktour tourists arrived by Atlant-Soyuz. At the moment we are checking bookings for the return flight. I think we will have to allocate tourists to flights by other airline companies at their own expenses’.
Meanwhile, on June 13th 5 Luktour tourists missed their flight to Russia because Luktour representatives in Antalya did not announce the time of the flight and did not organize transfer to the airport. The Consulate representatives pointed out that owing the fully booked return flights the tourists will have to stay in the country until June 18th at their own expenses.
Furthermore, Commercial Director of Luktour, Igor Kiselev, is still imposing responsibility for the incident with its clients in Turkey on the incoming company Tur Med ltd. ‘At the moment we are taking action in order to terminate the contract with Luktour Tur Med but we can not contact any of its top managers. Therefore, until we reach them we can not explain the reasons for the incident’, said Kiselev.
