However, many regional travel companies pointed out the low demand for this period. Groups are not formed even in spite of massive advertising campaign. It is interesting that according to travel companies offers were prepared upon the interest tourists demonstrated, however, than the demand decreased. Travel market players find it difficult to enumerate the reasons for the current drop in demand. ‘This year we prepared a special offer for Maslenitsa as in January people were interested in it. But by the time the program was prepared the demand turned out to bre lower than we had expected’, said General Director Deputy of Diligence travel company, Irina Sorokina. Meanwhile, travel companies of Vladimir, Suzdal and Yaroslavl pointed out more stable demand for Maslenitsa programs. ‘These are top destinations for Maslenitsa holidays’, said Ivan Lavrov from Vladinvesttour. Apropos, a 3-day tour to Suzdal costs 7500 rubles while the same tour to Pskov is on offer for 5000 rubles. |
