Now it will cost 10-15 Euro more’, said Nelli Ionkina, General Director of Ital Travel, to a BANKO correspondent. According to Rome authorities’ directive, the historical center of Rome is free to enter only for ‘ecological’ buses. Therefore, Euro-0 model will not be allowed to enter the city center. A fee for Euro-I and Euro-II – most popular models among Russian tourist groups – will increase at 20-30%. The fee will not change only for Eurо-III и Eurо-IV. Tour operators think that ‘ecological’ fee will refer to those tourists who stay in the central hotels and consequently have to use transport rather than those who have walking excursions in the center. Considering a cost of a week tour to Italy – 600Euro – 10-15 Euro entrance fee to the center does not seem a considerable amount. Travel companies hope for understanding of their clients. |
