Small travel companies do not need to obtain accreditation
On January 26th on-line conference ‘Peculiarities of Accreditation Process in Consulates’ was held on www.tourdom.ru. www.tourdom.ru. An expert of the conference, Vladimir Jebel, General Director Deputy of UTE-M, and the participants – Kiril Zimogorskyi, IT Director of PAK Group and Tatiana Korshunova, Visa Department Director of Lanta-tour Voyage, expressed their opinion regarding the accreditation process. They pointed out, that accreditation can be a problematic and sometimes even unnecessary, procedure for companies with little turnover and short market history. ‘Your chances to obtain accreditation increase if you work with national tourist offices’, stated Jebel.
According to experts, the core problem is not the accreditation procedure itself, but going through it for the second time. ‘Every consulate section from time to time cancels accreditation of the companies with little turnover and those who made some violations’, said Jebel.
It was also discussed that rules vary depending on consulates. The experts defined a long list of documents necessary to be presented in consulates.
