On the 17th of January the on-line conference on www.tourdom.ru was devoted to perspectives of the Russian tourism, bank and insurance guarantees for tour operating activities and sales through the Internet. Experts of the forum – Inna Beltyukova, General Director of CAPITAL TOUR, and Alexey Krilov, General Director UTS Group, - shared their opinions with other professionals of the travel industry.
‘In the nearest ten years the market will grow at 15-20% every year, that will support present players and encourage market appearance of new travel companies’, pointed out Alexey Krilov. Meanwhile, Inna Beltyukova explained that business concentration will concern not only tour operating activities but also retail sales. ‘The development of net programs by travel agents is the most effective way to compete with tour operators and to survive’, outlined Inna Beltyukova. Furthermore, the experts expressed an opinion that much depends on authorities’ attention to the business and the initiative of market players regarding the establishment of professional associations.
