Flights to Vietnam – just about enough

According to the press service of the airline, this issue is being discussed in the context of 2006 flight network development. Although there is no any detailed information from ‘Aeroflot’ itself, company’s partners are already looking forward to the flight launch. We remind that ‘Aeroflot’ flights to Hanoi were canceled due to the lay off of Il-96 exploitation. Although this ban was lifted long time ago, the travel market is still affected by its consequences. ‘It is really bad that there were no ‘Aeroflot’ flights to Vietnam during the New Year period ’, said Albert Kopian, General Director of ‘Ami-tour. According to him, occasionally there was a shortage of tickets on Vietnam Airlines flights, which were the only flights to Vietnam after ‘Aeroflot’ had canceled its flights. This can be explained by both the increasing demand for the destination and interest in flights from Vietnamese diaspora. Therefore the restart of ‘Aeroflot’ flights, according to operators, is a right decision. Dmitryi Gorin, the head of ‘Inna Tour’, thinks that ‘Aeroflot’ will most probably offer very attractive rates. But some experts believe it can happen only in a few months, after the airline optimizes the existing aircraft park. ‘If ‘Aeroflot’ had available aircrafts there would not be the lay off of flights to Vietnam’, said one of the experts to a ‘BANKO’ correspondent. As for Vietnam Airlines, in April they plan to add one more flight to the three current flights from Moscow. According to Nikolai Toktaev, Sales Department Director of the Moscow office, details will not be known until March.
