160 passengers of a charter flight of ‘Airlines-400’ Moscow-Munich had to spend more than 7 hours at Vnukovo airport. The departure time, which was scheduled for 7 a.m. on the 29th of December, was canceled. As a result tourists flew to Salzburg at 2.30 a.m. by the same airline.
This situation has been discussed on the forum at www.tourdom.ru. Travel market players find fault with the carrier who did not get the permission from Munich airports for flights. This information was confirmed in the office of ‘Airlines – 400’. ‘But the problem has been solved: from Salzburg the tourists will immediately be transferred to Germany’, added an anonymous representative of ‘Airlines-400’. According to DSBW, a company which consolidated the flight, as soon as tourists are in Salzburg they will follow their own programs: some of them go skiing, others have excursion tours.
'I have no explanation for the situation. All the payments were made in time, the airport did not give the permission for the flight at the last moment’, commented Viktoria Djenchevskaya, a DSBW top managers. According to her, that group of tourists is to be back to Moscow on the 4th of January. By this time the operator in cooperation with the airline plans to resolve the problem of Moscow-Munich-Moscow flights. However, representatives of Munich airport, named after Franz-Joseph Strauß, have different view on the problem. A ‘BANKO’ correspondent got a brief answer from the airport press service: ‘Why do you contact us? We have no problems with Moscow. I think reasons for the flight cancellation are to be found in Moscow’.
