[IMG=18697-4279] The workshop committee of information technologies in tourism, planned for the 23rd of January, made a decision to change the format of the event from live to online-conferencing. This step was dictated by the statistics of guests’ registration. Only during first few days of accreditation specialists of over 100 companies announced their intention to participate while for the participation in the workshop for today fully signed in only 15 exhibitors. Many companies referring to the difficult preparation for the season do not have enough time to present to the organization committee the necessary information for publication in the catalogue, a space for which was given in ‘Hot Line. Tourism’ № 1/2006. This is another factor which ties preparations to deadlines. A non-proportional large number of visitors, advantageous for exhibitors, derogated visitor’s interests. Changing the format of the event, the committee fully compensates fees paid by exhibitors providing for them opportunities of informational, expert participation. Instead of traditional offline series of presentations at worktables on the 23rd of January the site www.tourdom.ru will organize an online-conference with participation of workshop exhibitors. In the evening the constructive communication will end up with a non-formal meeting in one of Moscow cozy cafés. Light music and cold beer will help to make conclusions of the competition ‘Tourist brands of ‘Kurilka’ (the accreditation for the event is open on the forum). The catalogue of workshop participants in ‘Hot Line’ № 1/2006 will be substituted by visit cards of companies-project participants. The February issue of ‘Hot Line’ will have a long report about how the IT day in tourism was marked.
