[IMG=18683-4265] On the 21st of December a BANKO correspondent visited the office of ‘Grand voyage’ company situated at Volgogradskiy prospect, 4A. The alarming information about the company’s disappearance which was reported to BANKO the previous night, was confirmed: the office was closed, three members of the staff were last seen at the workplace on Monday morning. According to the representative of the building administration, premises were being rented from August this year, the firm mostly dealt with beach tourism – Thailand, Tunisia, Egypt, tours to islands etc. It is currently not possible to get in touch with the director of ‘Grand voyage’ – his mobile phone is off, while in the office landline phones keep ringing. As it was discovered, starting from yesterday a couple of dozens of tourists visited the location: they are worried about ‘Grand voyage’s disappearance. Their tours start from the 25th of December. BANKO correspondent talked with one of these tourists who informed us that she paid for her 10-day tour to Bangkok –Pattaia with the flight on the 3rd of January. The cost of the trip was only $1067 – according to experts, it is almost 50% lower than average prices on the market. The girl admitted she was seduced by the price of the tour. According to her, the low price was explained to her in the company by the special offer provided by the company due to their first season on the Thai destination. It is interesting that the work of ‘Grand voyage’ was originally built on shockingly low prices and aggressive self-PR with elements of multi-level marketing. As experts of Thai destination told BANKO, before the winter season ‘Grand voyage’ was actively promoted in ‘Tourism an Holiday’, in advertising modules of the company there was the following information: bring three friends and receive 50% discount for the air ticket. By the doors of the office a BANKO correspondent discovered even ‘more attractive’ promise: ‘Bring 5 friends and receive an air ticket as a present’. One more curious detail. The office pf the notorious company is situated in a so-called ’House of traveling industry’, which was ceremonially presented to the general public this June. The opening of the beautiful office complex was even visited by Anatoliy Yarochkin, deputy head of ‘Rostourism’. According to the official statement of the establishment, ‘… by the intention of organizers of the House, it is the first and the only project in Russia intended to unite in one location all possible tourist and transport infrastructure…’
