In spite of an attack of work being in full swing, being caused largely by the New Year sales, the site www.tourdom.ru is live and kicking. On the 16th of December the ‘Popular competition of tourism sites-2005’ was launched in the Hall, while the forum started the selection of nominees for ‘Tourist brand of ‘Kurilka’ forum a bit earlier.
According to terms of the competition, Tourdom’s audience will judge Internet-projects of IT workshop exhibitors – corporative and theme resources, as well as search engines. Everything is based on democracy. Following the link from the Hall or from the main page, every visitor of the web-site has a right to vote for their favourite resource, or mark each of them. It is highly recommended to supply your vote with a comment: what you enjoyed in a project, what you disliked, and your general impression. This way you can see who votes by mind or by heart. Internet-voting will last up till the 20th of January – on this day the page with your comments will be closed and the winner who receives the maximum amount of votes will be defined to receive a special prize from BANKO.
The milestone of ‘National competition of tourist sites’ is the direct voting which will be held on the 23rd of January during the IT workshop (Moscow, Holiday Inn Moscow hotel).
On this day anyone can communicate face-to-face with representatives of the companies whose projects are presented at the competition, to fill in the questionnaire, evaluating sites based on a 5-point marking scale and several other categories: design, content etc. Winning sites will receive official contest awards.
During the workshop official users of ‘Kurilka’ forum deserving the high title of a brand will also be congratulated. The forum is currently hosting the selection stage of the ‘TBK’ contest. Participants offer nominations and nominate new companies for the brand status. The voting will start on the 6th of January.
