As if follows from the official report, the volumes of work has slightly decreased by a number of indexes, compared to the previous year. For example, it concerns the number of passengers – minus 127.2 thousand people, which is 2% lower than previous year.
In Aeroflot it is mainly connected with ‘the reduction of number of flights to Milan’ (see news as of 7, 9, 15, 24 and 28th of November) and with handling of flights to khabarovsk to ‘Dalavia’ air company.
Meanwhile, the terms of agreement between the Russian and the Italian aviation authorities about regular flight between Moscow and Milan is finishing on the 19th of December. At the moment Aeroflot and Alitalia carry out the equal amount of flights – 7 per week.
It is yet unknown how this agreement will end up, but the majority of experts are convinced that the conflicting sides will find a solution. ‘No one wants to loose clients’, says Marina Aleksandrova, deputy general director of ‘Tour parade’ company. Nelli Ionkina, director of ‘Ital travel’ is also confident that the common sense will be found: ‘This situation have already grated on our nerves. When flights were cancelled, in the first place it was not even agencies that experienced it but tourists. Instead of being in Milan in 3.15 minutes they had to fly there by side ways – for example, via Frankfurt. Many tourists are in ‘elegant age’, they are afraid to fly and an extra take-off and landing is a lot of stress for them’.
