The mist ruined the game

[IMG=18565-4143] On the 8th of December there was heavy snowfall in Moscow, causing caused mist which affected the work of airports. As BANKO discovered , Vnukovo worked from the early morning only for take-offs, as a result over 30 planes (as of 16.30) had to land in Domodedovo, Sheremetievo and Nijniy Novgorod. According to Irina Ivanova, an employee of the press-service of Vnukovo, in the area of airport location there was a thick mist all day, and ‘it is hard to accept liners with the visibility of 500 m’. In November there was a similar situation when the first snow fell, although instead of Sheremetievo planes landed in Domodedovo (see news as of 21.11). As for other capital city terminals, they, according to the press-service, worked without malfunctions. However, some internal flights were cancelled in Sheremetievo. ‘There is bad weather in many Russian cities at the moment. So regional airports refused to take our planes’, - comments the press-service of Sheremetievo. Closer to the evening the mist has cleared a little, meantime, experts interviewed by a BANKO correspondent shared their worries for the coming night: the hydro-meteorological service forecasted a snowstorm. For the moment this article was released the situation was still unclear. Also, the mist did not cover only Moscow: in Dubai during the last several days this atmospheric phenomena was also seen. ‘Yet the weather did not affect the air service between Russia and the UAE, the only limitations were visible on the road, where there are constant traffic jams anyway‘, - says Sergey Ovchinnikov, sales director in ‘Space Travel’. Presently, according to experts, the weather in Dubai was at the usual temperature for the season - around 27 degrees.
