What happened to ‘Deep Tour’? – part two

[IMG=18507-4098] On the 2nd of December BANKO called 10 Moscow agencies indicated as official partners on the site of ‘Deep tour’ but did not find any of them who are sending tourists with this operator at the moment. The reasons for finishing the cooperation are various. One company was put on guard by the financial prospects of the operator. ‘At the time the company cancelled flights to Turkey and then, almost immediately, announced its deal with ‘Mezhbusinessbank’. Then ‘Deep tour’ was paying a commission of 12% to agencies which looked in-keeping with the circumstances’, said one director of a retail agency. Besides, at the same time there were rumours that local authorities arrested the work of the operator’s office in Turkey, allegedly due to debt incurred for tourists’ accommodation. This information was not confirmed but many sources refer to it. Some agencies stopped working with ‘Deep tour’ when they discovered the company gave up from consolidation of its own flights to Egypt in winter season and started using flights of other players. For example, Tatiana Selina, director of ‘Solnechnaya Dolina’ mentioned this reason. Some retail sellers turned down further cooperation because of clients’ complaints. ‘Our tourists were complaining but ‘deep tour’ did not take any measures’, says Alexey Gorodkov, director of ‘Pora otdyikhat’. Meanwhile, ‘Deep tour’s staff does not find it relevant to talk about agents loosing interest in their company. On the contrary, in a conversation with a BANKO correspondent one of them said that the operator will undertake vigorous activity in improving its position among distributors before the new summer period, approximately – in March.
