As of the 24th of November, the training ‘Republic of South Africa: exotics as a style of life’, prepared by 'Spectrum' company and situated on the site www.tourdom.ru, became the leader above its peers according to the rate of successful completion: it was passed by 80 managers of travel firms. Agencies who wanted to win need only one thing: to be well versed in all things connected with the republic, for example, to know the administrative capital of the state, national souvenirs and the symbol of the Republic. In total, about 2000 attempts were made.
The second training of ‘Spectrum’ called ‘Mauritius – the elite paradise’ aroused managers’ interest even more, generating 2300 visits, but only 23 agencies were successful. Questions on the Seychelles were more complicated even during the first level of difficulty, for instance, many participants struggled to explain the word ‘sega’. Few participants succeed at the training offered by ‘Inna tour’ – their ‘What do you know about Viet Nam?’ training program resulted in 21 finalists, even though it was attempted over 3000 times. It is no wonder the topic has such an exaggerated interest: those who completed the questionnaire would have been motivated by the promise of a fantastic prize for one of the winners – a trip to Viet Nam. The winner is as yet unknown.
As of the 25th of November, the list of training available to specialists will feature a new one devoted to North Europe. At the moment the representatives of the travel industry can check themselves on other questionnaires: ‘Do you keep the line?’ (testing knowledge of the magazine ‘Hot Line. Tourism’) and ‘Training for couriers of travel firms’. The last one, incidentally, tops the list of most difficult ones – only 13 managers finished it.
What is more, on the 24th of November the site www.tourdom.ru launched a vote within the competition on plagiarism and borrowing in tourism ‘TOURPROM. Travel Bin’, in the section ‘Special effects’. There are currently 7 contenders to participate in the final, but as new examples of plagiarism are submitted they will be included in the section.
