BANKO Information Service has recently been and in fact is still being contacted by travel agencies who haven’t received money from Premier Travel Services. For example, on the 9th of November the editor’s office received a phone call from Igor Maximov, director of Kazan firm ‘Mega-tour’ who was wondering where the operator was. A BANKO correspondent contacted managing director Olga Ryibina, and asked her for her comments. According to her, ‘Premier’ managed to arrange with the owner of the building to stay in the office till the 9th of November (see news as of 28th October). However, the operator has now been obliged to move, as their renting agreement was unilaterally cancelled. ‘In fact, we paid for the rent of the office until the end of December so, logically thinking, the owner of the building should have paid a penalty’ – said Olga Ryibina. Yet, in the nearest time she does not plan to bring up the issue with the buildings owner as ‘Premier’ has more important tasks to handle – the search for a new office. The managing director of the company pointed out that it is most probable that the operator will move in with a friendly travel firm where there is all the necessary equipment, allowing them to process the agencies’ complaints. Meanwhile it is unknown whether ‘Premier’ will accept any visitors: this may not be welcomed by the company who provide shelter for the operator. This is why Ms Ryibina did not announce which company she had considered moving in with. BANKO is following the situation and its’ developments.
