The online-broadcast ‘Everything about visas before the season’ was held on Thursday, on the 3rd of November, on the forum of professional travel portal www.tourdom.ru. Svetlana Stroganova, Euro-expo.ru director and Vladimir Ukhorsky, ‘Pak group’ specialist of visa department, took part in the discussion of visa problems into countries of winter tourism.
Experts noted that because of the abundance of applications in December there might be problems with timely submission of documents for visas in Consulates of Austria, Italy, France, Czech Republic as well as Switzerland and Slovakia. In Austrian diplomatic mission there are already queues. ‘The Consulate accepts documents only during an hour and a half every day, one tour operator is enough to make inspectors who accept documents busy ’, notes Vladimir Ukhorsky. Svetlana Stroganova added: ‘Many clients are experienced and apply for visas for New Year holidays in advance. This is why Consulates are already busy in November’.
The second part of the online-broadcast was devoted to the issue of how to submit documents correctly to secure clients from refusals. ‘In the majority of European countries, if documents of a client were submitted correctly and there were not any breaches of visa regulations earlier, there are very rare groundless refusals’, says Stroganova. ‘However even in such case it is possible to resolve the issue by applying to the consulate again, having received the necessary explanations’.
In this case it is worth taking notice of such details as discrepancy of surnames in internal and travel passports, signature of a holiday-maker in the application form, visas in a client’s passport and correct way of immigration stamps.
