‘Premier’ has resigned? - Part 1

[IMG=18073-3472] On October 14th BANKO Information Service got information from different sources that ‘Premier’ company (Premier Travel Service) has stopped its activity. According to those that called the editor’s, on that same evening Albert Potapov, director general of the company, told his employees that the company no longer exists. It was not possible to get a first hand comment: at 8 p. m. Mr. Potapov’s mobile phone was switched off, and phones in the company’s office didn’t answer. According to the expert that wished to remain unnamed, the reason for this is the whole complex of problems connected to work planning. The last drop was the mistake made when calculating a corporate tour to Tunisia on October 13th–16th/ After the group was sent to that country it became known that ‘Premier’ didn’t transfer money for the flight and for the constant block it held on that flight. This was confirmed by Eduard Kuznetsov, director general of UTE Megapolus group, program consolidator. ‘Premier’ owes us for the outgoing flight on October 16th, and for delivery of the group on 13th. According to our agreement, during last month we credited ‘Premier’ one date forward. It had to pay both dates today, but we didn’t get the money. So the debt is about $70,000–75,000.’ Also Mr. Kuznetsov said that in existing situation UTE Megapolus group would take expenses for return of ‘Premier’ tourists upon itself. Also it’s possible that tour operator owes its receiving partner in Tunisia, ‘Carthage Plus’ company, and other counteragents. Albert Potapov has worked in travel industry for 11 years, he was the founder of ‘Apex’ and ‘Laguna-tour’ companies. The latter entered ‘Touralliance’ holding where Mr. Potapov was head of tour operator part of the holding. He completely changed the field of activity in 2002, but returned to travel industry in 2004 and founded ‘Premier’ company that specialized on tours to Tunisia.
