Agencies look for Az tour

[IMG=18054-3447] On October 12th Anna Sirotkina, general director of ‘Denis-Aero’ agency, told BANKO Information Service reporter about her decision to go to militia concerning ‘Az tour’ company failing to perform its liabilities. According to Ms. Sirotkina, her firm has also suffered from scandal around this operator going out of business (see the News for 09/26–29). Four clients of ‘Denis-Aero’ had to return to Moscow from Turkey five days earlier, as Caesar’s Temple Hotel where they stayed demanded money for the rooms. ‘We had to buy our tourists tickets from Deeptour for $480 and send them home on a nearest flight,’ said Anna Sirotkina. Meanwhile, as BANKO learned, Internal Affairs Department of Tverskoy district (Moscow) ‘Selena’ agency turned to (see the News or 09/28) refused to open the case. ‘We were given two reasons for that: absence of other victims, and absence of ‘Az tour’ heads,’ said Elena Savitskaya, director general of ‘Selena’. ‘Denis-Aero’ representatives and BANKO reporters tried to contact the operator too but had no success. The phone number given for complaints didn’t answer. A week ago Natalia Sirota, director general of Moscow ‘Az tour’ office, told BANKO Information Service that founders of that company would come to Moscow and solve the problem of compensations as soon as all the tourists are transported out of Turkey (see the News for 09/29). Meanwhile, on October 10th Federal Tourist Agency of Russia suspended the license of one more operator company, ‘Zed-Tour Voyage’ Ltd. The reason stated in the order by Rostourism is ‘gross violation of license requirements’. Details of how this fact corresponds to actions of the company known on the market under the name of ‘Z-tour’ will be published in next issues of BANKO news.
